Nine set to Go! on August 9

Channel Nine have announced their digital multichannel Go! will launch on August 9th with a focus on the youth demographic taking the number of Freeview services to 13 .
The channel is set to broadcast a number of programs that Nine has not previously broadcast but already hold the rights to, such as Gossip Girl and The Wire.
Nine boss David Gyngell believes that Go! is a natural extension for the network
“This multi-channel is a natural evolution for Nine and for free-to-air television,” Mr Gyngell said.
“And that’s the key word — it means that within weeks our viewers will have access free of charge to a second channel offering quality and a great deal of first-run content through its schedule.
“It’s a win for our audience because it offers more diversity and substantially wider viewing choices than ever before, at no cost.”
Go! will broadcast on digital channel 99. Regionally, WIN have confirmed they will carry the channel, but as yet, there is no indication whether NBN will carry the channel.
