Production has reportedly started on a new-look Big Brother house at Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast.

According to The Sunday Telegraph, a source has revealed that the Nine Network's expected revival Big Brother: Secrets will be based from the theme park.

Having the house situated at Movie World would be a change from the show's previous location at Dreamworld.

Meanwhile, the newspaper also reports that the series will see "real" housemates in a "non tricked-up way".

"It'll be back to basics, like it was under [former producer] Peter Abbott," the source said. "They'll be twists, like in the French version, but it'll be pretty straight and just looking at people living in close confines."

It's understood Nine has also initiated production meetings to determine a host.

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O are believed to have ruled out a return after hosting the show's last season on Ten in 2008. Hamish Blake and Andy Lee have also denied they'll be part of the series despite support from fans.

Brendan Jones, co-host of Sydney's WSFM 101.7 breakfast radio programme, is the latest personality to be linked with the series.

Nine is expected to strip the series weeknights at 7:00pm following its coverage of the London 2012 Olympics.
