Ratings: MKR and Revenge soar for Seven

1.8 million viewers returned for the second episode of Revenge (Image: ABC)

Seven dominated Monday night with both My Kitchen Rules and the second episode of Revenge topping 1.8 million viewers.

My Kitchen Rules continued its dominant ratings performance with 1.810 million viewers last night, drawing a peak audience of 2.433m. The second episode of Revenge followed with 1.800m, a strong hold from its debut of over two million viewers last week. The drama also topped the night in the 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54 demographics.

Later in the night How I Met Your Mother had 754,000, followed by Happy Endings (377,000) and Sports Fever! (188,000). Home and Away won the 7:00pm slot with 1.037m.

Nine's best result came from a new episode of The Big Bang Theory (1.374m), in addition to two repeat episodes (1.067m, 897,000). Alcatraz had 932,000, followed by Person of Interest (603,000, 486,000).

The Biggest Loser was Ten's strongest performer with 879,000, the programme's best result since its debut last month. Bondi Rescue had 600,000, followed by NCIS: Los Angeles (489,000), and Hawaii Five-0 (433,000).

Seven News (1.312m) defeated Nine News (1.099m) and The Project (462,000), while Today Tonight (1.167m) topped A Current Affair (1.034m). Ten News had 730,000, while ABC News drew 1.034m.

Sunrise (362,000) beat Today (344,000), while The Morning Show (187,000) topped Mornings (107,000) and The Circle (53,000).

The Simpsons was the number one title on subscription television with 91,000, followed by Wife Swap Australia with 79,000.

7TWO was the number one multichannel with a 3.6 per cent share, led by Heartbeat on 299,000.

Seven won the night with a 34.2 per cent network share, followed by Nine (26.7 per cent), Ten (18.1 per cent), ABC (16.9 per cent), and SBS (4.1 per cent).
